\n(Prior Year)<\/strong><\/td>\n		Before leaving Shawnee<\/strong>, leave a $500<\/strong> deposit for the same weekend the following year.
\nMake sure groupsales sends you an email copy of the receipt.
\nThis should be left on the troop credit card and the receipt should be sent to the treasurer.<\/td>\n		<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\u00a0Step 2<\/strong><\/td>\nEarly September<\/strong> you should get an email from grpsales@shawneemt.com with the latest package details, terms, prices, etc.<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\u00a0Step 3<\/strong><\/td>\n12 weeks prior to our arival date<\/strong>, which is usually mid November an additional\u00a0$1000<\/strong> deposit should be made to the mountain via phone.<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\u00a0Step 4<\/strong><\/td>\n\u00a0Right after you make the deposit you should start advertising to the troop.\u00a0 This trip makes a great Christmas present, so get the word out in time for people to purchase for the holidays<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\u00a0Step 5<\/strong><\/td>\nMake sure Dotty has the sign-up forms so she can start recording numbers for the trip
\nBe sure to check the prices of lift tickets, rentals, helmets, lessons, etc. as these change slightly year after year.<\/td>\n		<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\u00a0Step 6<\/strong><\/td>\nRight after the 1st of the year will start the full court press.\u00a0 You will receive an email from the mountain to start booking online rentals, broadcast this out A.S.A.P. because people are horible about doing it on time.<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\u00a0Step 7<\/strong><\/td>\nStay in touch with Dotty as to the names and numbers and announce the trip at every Troop meeting.\u00a0 Regular Email reminders, about once a week also helps.<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\u00a0Step 8<\/strong><\/td>\nThe Friday before the trip<\/strong> send Forms A, B, C<\/strong> to the Mountain.\u00a0 Make sure the rooming list has Downstairs Boys, and Upstairs, GIRLS\/ADULTS so they do not start moving bunks around in the cabin unnessasarilly.<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\u00a0Step 9<\/strong><\/td>\nMonday before the trip blast out an online rental reminder!<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\u00a0Step 10<\/strong><\/td>\nTuesday night before the trip<\/strong>, the online rental site will close.\u00a0 Anyone who has not done online rentals at this point will have to file the 1040 long form when they get to the mountain.<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\u00a0Step 11<\/strong><\/td>\nThursday nights meeting before the trip make sure everyone going without family has a ride with someone.<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\u00a0Step 12<\/strong><\/td>\nFriday of the trip<\/strong>
\nMake sure you buy:<\/p>\n

  • Peanut Butter (2 Large plastic Bottles)<\/li>\n
  • Jelly (2 Large plastic Bottles)<\/li>\n
  • White Bread (usually 5 loaf depending on number of attendees)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Get to the mountain between 2:00 and 2:30<\/strong> to pick up the package from group sales. So you can be up in the Summit Lodge by 3:00PM when people start to arrive.\u00a0 Make an appointment with group sales for the business meeting on Saturday morning, usually at 10:AM after the group morning rush.<\/td>\n

\u00a0Step 13<\/strong><\/td>\n\u00a0Act as cruise director for the arriving skiers.\u00a0 Hand out:<\/p>\n

  • Wrist Bands proof they live in the Lodge<\/li>\n
  • Lift Tickets<\/li>\n
  • Rental Stickers for back of lift tickets<\/li>\n
  • Helmet Rental tickets<\/li>\n
  • Lesson forms<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n

\u00a0Step 14<\/strong><\/td>\n\u00a0Saturday morning<\/strong><\/p>\n

  • Makes sure nobody hits the slopes before 8:AM when the mountain opens<\/li>\n
  • They need to have all of their stuff out of the rooms by 10:AM<\/li>\n
  • Make the peanut butter and jelly sandwhiches for later<\/li>\n
  • Get down to group sales for the business meeting to settle any final expenses<\/li>\n
  • Before you leave do step #1 leave a deposit for next year<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n
